Workday unavailable due to update and planned maintenance - Sat. 3/13, 2 a.m. to 10 a.m.
On Saturday, March 13, the first of two annual Workday releases will take place. Named 2021R1, it is the first Workday release of 2021, and the first update since Workday go-live at Ohio State. Workday will be unavailable on Saturday, March 13, from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. while the release is applied.
The most significant changes in 2021R1 are related to Payroll and affect campus biweekly employees who use Workday time tracking. The time tracking calendar page has been redesigned including:
- The Submit button on the time calendar will be moved to the right and replaced with a Review button. Employees will click Review and then click Submit in a new window to submit their weekly time.
- The Enter Time button will be replaced with an Actions button on the top right of the time calendar.
- Weekly totals have moved to a Summary section on the right side of the page.
A Workday 2021R1 job aid is available in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) that explains the previously mentioned changes. Additionally, the job aid has a section that breaks out changes by specific audiences, so you can quickly skim to see how you are affected.
Please note that information available about the 2021R1 update continues to develop and evolve over time, so it’s recommended to review the job aid frequently to stay apprised of the latest changes. The job aid will have a “last updated” date for reference.
Kronos and external dormakaba time clocks will be available, but employees using Workday to clock in and out should enter their hours once Workday is online.
