March Security Changes Simplify Redshift Access

The current soft rollout of the Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE) has allowed the Data and Analytics Team the opportunity to refine processes in an iterative way, presenting new features and capabilities on a frequent basis. 

For the March 2020 iteration, the team is simplifying the security setup for data analysts that have direct access to the Redshift database and the datasets within. Redshift is the new Data Warehouse platform, supported by Amazing Web Services (AWS).

 The RAE Redshift: Update to Security and Access document linked to this post, outlines the changes that are coming this month for Redshift Test (RSTST) and Redshift Production (RSPRD).
