In the process of making learning affordable, how do we know we’re not sacrificing the quality of educational resources? Is there a way to get a general idea of how students perceive free or low-cost digital materials? A team of researchers at The Ohio State University wanted to find out.
Proudfoot is a huge fan of the Canvas Teacher app, and her favorite feature is the ability to moderate discussion boards. “Using the Canvas Teacher app, I was able to respond to students within an hour, even while traveling,” she explained. “It makes my life a lot easier when I don’t have to get on a computer to check and respond to discussion board posts.”
“We hear that by having this feature as the first a student sees in the modules, students are then introduced to the day-to-day best practices that help them as they navigate through the online environment.”
Researchers rejoice! LabArchives, a cloud-based lab notebook software, is available to Ohio State faculty, staff and students.
