eActivity Awards reports are now available via Tableau Server. These reports cover award activity since Workday was implemented in January 2021. The Proposals and Expenditures components of eActivity will be available soon.
The information available and the intended use of eActivity Awards has not changed. However there are some differences from the legacy eActivity Award report including separate Summary and Detail reports.

During the March 18 meeting, TUG members will welcome Eric Mayberry, Senior Manager of OCIO’s Data Analytics Team. Eric will be providing a developer’s walkthrough for the Ohio State COVID-19 Dashboard and share techniques for: 1. Organizing dashboards with containers, 2. With the completion of the financial conversion data loads to Workday, the team responsible for the Reporting and Analytics Environment (RAE) has also completed the loading of financial data to the new analytics data lake. As of Monday February 1, the RAE is synchronized with Workday via data loads that push the most recent transactions into the analytics database each night. Ohio State’s Tableau User Group will hold its fifth-annual Iron Viz competition at the February Third Thursday meeting. Iron Viz is an informal competition to see who can make the best Tableau dashboard from a common dataset in 20-30 minutes. Anyone can participate as a competitor (prizes involved) or a cheerleader. The Reports and Report Crosswalk job aid is now available in the Administrative Resource Center (ARC). This document provides a listing of reports available in Workday and Tableau that will be of interest to college and unit fiscal staff, leaders, and managers. It also provides a crosswalk between legacy reports and Workday/Tableau reports.

Our November 19, 2020 meeting is dedicated to Mapping With Tableau . Zac Lockwood from Facilities Operations and Development will showcase a FOD dashboard that overlays data on campus maps. Sarah Murphy will demonstrate how to use Mapbox maps with Tableau. We will also introduce the dataset for the TUG’s fifth Iron Viz competition, to be held on January 21, 2021.
