The Data Governance team is launching an initiative to standardize institutional definitions and is seeking assistance from colleagues across the university and medical center.
OTDI has partnered with Microsoft to offer virtual instructor-led training in October and November for many MS Office 365-centered topics, including Teams and OneDrive. Please note that while MS Teams Calling sessions are listed, they are intended for pilot participants. MS Teams Calling will be available to the Ohio State community in 2023.

The next round of software updates is now available to install for OTDI-managed workstations via Software Center (for Windows PC) or Ohio State Application Self Service (for Mac).
The IT Service Desk will remotely deploy these updates on Friday, September 23 which will require you to restart your machine and/or close applications. You can make these updates at your convenience prior to Friday via your appropriate software update application to avoid interruptions that could occur from an automatic update.
BuckeyePass, powered by Duo Security, is Ohio State’s method of multi-factor authentication, assisting in keeping our systems safe and helping us stay ahead of security threats. Starting September 20, faculty, staff and students will see the new Duo Universal interface when accessing university systems. Users do not need to update their app or take any action before this change.
Over the summer, the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation (OTDI) completed a major overhaul to 16 Journalism Building classrooms, half of which received a full facelift (fresh paint, flooring, lighting and furniture). OTDI was also involved in installing and wrapping a Framery soundproof pod in Hale Hall and upgrading 3D printers in the Enarson Digital Union.
